(WIP) Alternate North America

I started this about a year ago, but after getting through about half of the lakes--after doing everything else you see--I needed a break and set it aside. A few days ago I picked it back up and brought it to here. I spent forever looking for a base map to use for an alternate reality North America map I wanted to do and when I couldn't find what I wanted I grabbed an atlas map and started tracing. The map is much larger than the attached image. But here's where I am so far.

Tracing is potentially copyright infringement. It's also a bit of a waste of time since there are freely available datasets you could use like Natural Earth. Certainly in the time it took you to trace that, you could have easily figured out enough of QGIS to get some Natural Earth shapefiles projected and exported to an image.
