I might make the border bigger but that means that I have to put it over some parts of the map. I though about putting some flagson the sides of the map but I suppose it's not a good idea.

?? You can expand the size of the whole file and make the border larger without overlapping the map.

I suppose I could also do that, it make the file bigger. We will see how it turn out. So far I increased the border by 40% and the image dimensions by 5%. It should be ok.
