Default Tales of Chance the Mage - Rideout

I think I will put my maps / drawings etc. here from now on.

This map shows the places the hero, Chance the Mage, travels during this series. Please comment if you wish. Other view points are opportunities to learn.

    Regards,
    Gary

This map is part of the same series in Chance the Mage. All photoshop with experimentations in patterns and layers. The pattersn are from satellite images. I think it is a reasonable map but the nuances of patterns is another sub-world in photoshop.

It's better than the last one but still. I checked your other works on the forum and some where pretty good. In fact you are trully amazing with a pencil and If you want my suggestion it might be better that you stick with the other styles.

    I really like these:

I don't know what way you want to go but I think this style is a bad idea considering your drawing skills.

Thank you - I am flattered.

I remain, at base, with the 'pencil and piece of white paper' style. I began with Photoshop to put images into episodes. Like all addictions, I wanted to do the same with maps for episodes. Looking at my site - about 3 years old now - it is a mix of styles - some better done than others. It is all learning, doing, reworking. A pencil drawing comes as it will; a photoshop image is just on-demand technique but powerful.

Especially, thank you for taking the time to look at my work critically.

    Regards,
    Gary

The map below is pencil on paper. Photoshop to sharpen. Pencil thickness is .5 and paper is normal printing paper.Regards,
    Gary
