    Map My First Map

Its supposed to be floating rocks that are held together by chains over looking with the one of the levels of hell or something like that. I made it for a game that I was DMing for where the player had to travel through the nine hells to reach Arcadia to retrieve and destroy Xilamare's (evil mindflayer) heart, because as long as his heart remained in the box he was immortal.

currently I'm building a world started with the world map and moved on to city maps and making battle maps for each major part of the city. Hope as the World of Ethoeisa unfolds. I DM regularly and I use my maps as battle maps for the players. So as they move through the world hopefully i can keep up with making maps for them.

    Good:
+I like the sense of movement and violence with the fireballs.
+It's certainly a chaotic and hellish picture.
+It looks like it would work well as some kind of board game background.

    Areas for improvement:
-It's hard to see it as a map. There's no sense of scale, no familiar objects with which I can put this into perspective. Are the rocks big enough to stand on? Are they the size of mountains, like the floating ones in Avatar?
-Some shadows might help to establish and reinforce which way is up here. The configuration of floating rocks is a bit disorienting.
