Post Urban Planning and architectural resources

I have a dream of eventually designing a city based on some key design principles laid out in carfree cities, an urban pathfinder utopia attempt.

so here is a place for resources for that idea and others are welcome to raid these resources as I explore and experiment.

so to start with here is a link http://www.carfree.com

I will try to add a resource once a week.

the layers of roads influencing the layers above with buildings of so many ages, 5500 years of continuous settlement with evidence of a village even in 9000 BCE great variety in street line variety. Great texture varieties- plantings in urban orchards and parks, dry yards, etc...satellite view is rich. and I wish all its inhabitants peace and safety.

If you don't mind someone else adding a link...

    I found someone talking about:

    http://phantomcity.org/#

in my newsfeed the other day. It looks like they collected old/unused plans/ideas for different parts of Chicago, SF and NYC. Interesting stuff!
