Tutorial Preparing PowerPoint to become a drawing tool

Actually I wanted to write a tutorial about how to create crests using PowerPoint and some textures ..

Then I noticed, I might have to explain, how to turn PP into a drawing tool at first

    So, here goes:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4N...it?usp=sharing

I hope, I'll find the time for the other tutorial next week or so .. With Christmas drawing near, time becomes a rare ressource

Thanks for reading / commenting and kind regards,
    Kai

Wouldn't it be easier to just get a proper vector graphics editor like Inkscape?

Depends .. If you are willing to learn a new software, Inkscape might be better for you.
PP however is something you might already have installed on your PC at work, where you can practice (or even play with, if you've got sufficient rights).

I think the tutorial look incomplete. It's hard to understand the full potential of power point with your example. But something like this would be worth a tutorial : https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4Nt...R0k/edit?pli=1

Hai-Etlik got a point, inkscape and gimp are free while power point is not and they probably offer more possibilities. But if you think that pp can be the right tool for you then do what you must but I'm still sceptical.
