    Wip [WIP] Dremura

Working on my first 'for fun' map. Previous attempts have been marred by my not really feeling able to take my time or commit to any type of style because I wanted them to use and not just to make. I've gone with a 'ink on parchment' kind of feel, as if someone took an ink wash to things to create the forests and mountains.

Now I just need to figure out the best way to do the towns and labeling. Current thinking is over sized sketch of the most prominent buildings for towns and some sort of faux-calligraphy for labeling.

Hey cool. I've also been playing around with colors on parchment looks. It's definitely not easy.

I would change the shading on your "parchment".

If it is just texture, it is to heavy and distracts from the "real map". If it is meant to symbolize anything - hills, dunes or such - it does not really fit the style of your map. Either way it is not optimal.

The rest of your style looks very nice though and I look forward to see more of it.

How's this? Couldn't get the previous texture to come out any less heavy so I did something else that I think turned out fairly well.

Also had to half the size of the file to save here for showing WIP.
