    Default Rockport mining town

This is a map of a small mining town and its surroundings. Started as a skill refreshing project and many original ideas got changed on the way. I’m kinda glad I didn’t scrap it after the few first trials (I almost did).

Programs used: Geocontrol2 (for the original heightmap) and Photoshop for the rest.

Though I usually prefer a ''cleaner'' style, I think you did a very good job

Love it, gives great detail for saying "you are here" to players, LOL. I always liked that when GM'n.

Looks great pasis! Looks like an interesting place to make a living (without potential banditry and accidents of course).

This is really great. A lot of times maps with photo-real textures feel fake and put together to me but this really seems like an aerial view. Really the only thing I'm not a fan of is your font selection.

Here is the map without any texts for the ones who prefer it that way.

Well you made me look up GeoControl 2 and may consider a purchase, as I'm always looking for a better way to generate mountains and terrain with depth. I just downloaded the free version to see how it works out.
