Help Experiment 01 results; criticisms welcome

Ok, I found a pdn tutorial buried deep within the confines this site, copy pasted it into a document and started experiment 01. Here is the result:

(ps, anyone know how I can alter the display size of these IMG tags? Your forum [rightfully] doesn't allow me to use html to set display sizes.)

    Lessons learned:
    Canvas too small
    DPI too low
Cloud Render >>> random elevation map.

    Experiment 02:
In eperiment 02, I'll try refining the techniques on a more appropriate scale to reduce pixellation.

Pixelation doesn't have to be a problem, actually. You can always take the DTM file (or bump map) that's behind this map, and run it through Wilbur a few times. I'm sure that would solve both the pixelation and the fluffiness of your features.

wow, sorry I didn't answer this earlier. Wilbur is a piece of software that helps you shape a landmass in a geomorphical manner. You can erode your landscape with several different methods, you can fill basins, add grain, and best of all, you can make it slice in rivers exactly where nature would. It's a fantastic piece of technology and it's absolutely free. The website is a bit... shall we say oldfashioned? But it sports several tutorials and of course the download link. Current Wilbur Version

Have a go at it and let us know what you think!
