    Happy 666th, Azelor.

    I've put together a really quick mockup of the kind of thing I envisaged (based on Green Havens--hope it's ok with you to use this image, Max). Basically, the finished image in the challenge could include a title box/cartouche, compass rose, border, scale bar, legend etc. It just wouldn't include the map. I think for many people (certainly for me) these extra details are an afterthought, and not much time is spent on them. What would people come up with if they were focussing on those features exclusively? Imagine if people spent several days on the compass rose, rather than a single hour. Is that a bit clearer?

    I like the idea. It gives us all a chance to be as arty as we want to be without worrying about the actual map itself
