    Wip Ferneron

Time to do some private work between commissions.
This is partially inspired by Pete Fenlon's maps - I discovered these while doing a commission, where this style was being discussed as a possible style for the final product.
A first look with outlines and a first try with shading and light.

That mountain style puts me of a lot of the time, but here it looks great

A good start, Sapiento! I like the fade effect you put in the mountains at the back. I'm curious where this will be going

    Thank you, guys!

Shading and lights together with a texture added.

That observatory on the right side of the range has a line from the hill going through it.

I know, thanks. This will be corrected in the next step.

Looks nice overall, though I'm not a big fan of the light/shading on mountains that make look them striped.

Love the perspective with the mountains on this.

I agree with Max, however, insomuch as the straight lines combined with the shading/highlighting does make it look like stripes.
