Default March 2014 Entry: Something Lovecraftian

Dunno if I will have time to finish, but this is what I have so far...most of the dungeon and the background imagery is done. Still trying to work out in myhead what exactly its all about. Tentacled monsters, crazed acolytes, and books of terrifying evil is the general theme- weaving it all together is the hard part!

I have been meaning to try using the dungeon parts for some time. They are very nice. IIRC, someone posted them (walls, stairs, and many other bits) as a downloadable bundle of pre-made hand drawn parts. I must say I think they look really awesome. My thanks to whoever it was that made them up!

Looks great so far. I really dont like the hand writing font as it looks a little too clean and pretty in comparison to the theme. Hope to see it finished!

Ooh, nice. Would you mind telling me what the title font is, I really like it. Great composition too. I hope you get a chance to finish this.

    Cheers,

The title font is called "Alice in Wonderland". I found it on the Dafont website.

Here is the lastest. As you can probably guess by the text, I am not a rpg player. I havent played since my university days 30+ years ago, and even then I never was a GM.

I'm sure the text is much too wordy and probably too...leading? Anyhoo, its all I have so far. Opinions are always welcome!

thanks. I spotted a few typos. Once I get those fixed I should be done. I just tried printing it out for fun while I was at work. It printed out much darker and browner than what you see on the screen. Still looks pretty good though.

Here is the finalized map. Fixed the spelling errors and did a few changes to the opacity of the grungey background, but thats about it.

In the Epilogue, "not" shouldn't be capitalized:

"If the players did Not throw the Necronomicon..."

Really quick fix, I should think. Unless you want it to be capitalized, to provide emphasis. In that case, I'd capitalize the whole word. Other than that, the tweaks are all good!
