Default Fantasy style map on a real territory

Hi folks, as a cartographer i worked on a territory of around 100 villages and i made a lot (hundreds i guess!) of maps of this territory. My cartography style was quite different than those beautifull rpg maps that can be found here (i'm more a gis / illustrator user so i made a lots of maps but they are not very beautifull). After founding so much inspiration here i couldn' resist to try a rpg style map of my territory. So here is my try, I used photoshop for the map and illustrator for the labels. The resolution isn't very good so if you zoom in you'll see the pixels..

A fun map. A border would help set it off a bit, even just a simple set of double black lines. I like the icon style you chose for it, makes it feel like a video game map.

I agree with MCC, your map has a nice video/board game feeling to me. I like the composition and colors, and it's too bad that the resolution isn't so good (as you wrote).
