    I really like your maps because they are so compartmentalized. There is never only a forest or an island, there are always many little spots of forest or land. Those are the details that make you stare at maps for a long time.

    thanks epson, after the forest i often add a few random trees with my forest brush, thats quite fast after you define the layer style and like you say it adds the details that makes the map feel more complex. For that one the source map i used was a big help as it is a very detailed map with lots of labels, in fact i was far from reporting every location on my version of the moonshae, here is the source map
