Welcome to the Guild Clangador!! You have come to the right place.

I use DundJinni, it is inexpensive and easy to learn how to use. It is mainly for battlemaps, buildings and dungeons, it is not very good for regional and world maps.
However, it is difficult to purchase, and getting harder and harder to install as it was written for XP and upgraded to Vista. It is not being supported any longer, and those of us volunteers who try to help have limited resources.

CC3 is popular and not to expensive, but the add-ons costs add up quickly.

A lot of people here use The GIMP or Photoshop. Photoshop is VERY expensive, but GIMP is free. If you don't have experience with drawing programs it will take a bit longer to learn how to use them, but there are lots of great tutorials here.

    Happy Mapping
