    Default 3D Style Mountains

    Hello everyone,

Today I was playing around in Blender to create a basic terrain for a City i want to map in the future. After sculpting a mountain I suddenly thought, why not make some elements out of it! Rendered it from different sides, post processed in Gimp and here you are, 3 mountain elements for free use:

I will probably make some more with different light direction and maybe some other shapes too if I got time.

    happy mapping!

    Thank you,

I think I should stop adding clouds to the symbols, it does not stack so well. what do you think:

Very cool! I would personally have the clouds as a separate object that someone could opt to place above especially tall mountains, and not use clouds for every mountain.

Sounds like a good idea Gamerprinter!

These clouds are essentially brushes from mark molnars brushset, so I will not post them here, just get them from his page Mark Molnar - Sketchblog of Concept Art and Illustration Works: Mega Brush Pack 2013 or use any grungy brush you prefer!

some new mountainranges and a bit of fun combining test:

Edit: hint! begin with the ranges furthest away and work your way forward slightly increasing size. Be careful with the hills, use another layer below mountains and ranges.

These look amazing! Is it possible to use them in Photoshop? I don't have GIMP...
