    Default *** April/May 2014 Lite Challenge: Cross-Genre VOTING***

Sorry to be a little late getting the voting thread up; real life intervenes at the worst times.

The entries were a bit light this time around, probably due to the contest topic. I'll try to do more user-friendly ones in the future! The challenge this month was to take a common trope from one genre and translate it into another genre, like a wizard's tower into a command tower on a star destroyer. Here are your challenge thumbs:

    CLICK ME, I'M ALL THUMBY!

Since we only had three entries, I'm going to make a command decision this time around to allow only one vote, so choose wisely. Voting will end in four days, and a new Lite Challenge will be posted sometime Monday evening.

As always, please rep all of those you feel worthy.

When I read Epson's first post my immediate thought was, "cool idea, wish I had thought of that first". Then he got his map off to a great start with the layout and background, but it looks unfinished.

Fabio's space map is very nice and a clever idea and it has a real finished look. I would have voted for it but Francissimo's map just has a bit more going for it. Very well put together, well done!

I'm voting for Francissimo. His painstaking work with textures has produced a great job.
Epson work is awesome and I'm looking forward to see it finished.

I think the concept was great, just particularly challenging to come up with good ideas. My own idea of a huge spacedock built in the theme of the traditional fantasy inn never made it past the thinking stage, but don't let the smaller number of entries dissuade anyone from posting challenges like this in the future!

Kudos to the entries, all great work!

    cheers,
    Meshon
