Meshon So far the mountains are the only thing set in stone. HA HA HA I love that bit. Everything else is a place holder . I am currently working on the hills Staying in the same style as the mountains. I'll update as soon as the Hills are done. Then on to the forests then the Water.

The mountains look very good. I am curious how you will handle the background.

Another try at getting a consistent effect on various elements.Stll have a lot of clean up in there but for now it is on to the forest.

Well I think I got all but the forest where I want it. What do you think about the icons they are derivatives of a civ mod . Still have so much to do keeping in style is proving difficult !

Kick those icons. They look blurry and have different perspectives.

You could try one of these styles:
Photo 1 of 20 from Current Maps
Photo 1 of 9 from Ave Tenebrae
Photo 1 of 5 from Inspired maps

    cheers,

Meshon Thanks for the examples. I am not really fond of 2d icons on a 3d ish type of map as in the continent of Maceon. The others are okay . I am not artistically inclined so I need to find icons /brushes of a usable size to use as references.

Katto Different perspective from the map or each other ?? I can sharpen the icon easy enough but then it looks out of palce with the more Painterly style I have going!

The style of the icons is bothering me, but only a little. I really like the texture on the background and the mountains, as well as the overall color scheme.
