Small update on this fine day. Not much, added some to the left side of the districts and did most of the shadows there. Progress is slow but still something!

My kind of style! I would love to add this sort of thing as marginalia around the hand drawn regional maps I am working on. I don't know if I'll get to it, but I'm glad to see you are!

As promised another update! Regrettably there is a slight blurry crease across the center, my printer is smaller than I would like and I have to scan the ark in two halves and then unite them in photoshop. And it's far to bothersome to edit it away for every update.
Still a lot left, but slowly the district is taking shape. I wonder how many windows there will be in the end, must be over 300 by now. Would be amazing to draw a whole city like this on a A1 ark.
How do you fellow cartographers like it?

Another update: the monastery district is almost done, just have to add some further details here and there. After that is completed, only the area surrounding the districts remains, so not that much left!
