My sword and banner compass rose --- for anyone to use

Hi guys, I'm placing the original blank compass rose sketch I used on my last map here for anyone who is interested in using it.

I made a transparent version of dmk's compass rose. Unfortunately in my attempts to make the background totally transparent I ended up losing some of the shading. In most cases you'll probably have better results using the original and playing with your blending modes, but just in case it's useful, here's the (mostly) transparent version.

I downloaded the Sword-banner icon, imported to Xara, created a shape around the icon. I included some of the existing hand-rendered shadow closest to the edge of the icon. Then I applied a halo shadow on the entire icon. I exported to 100 ppi PNG with Alpha channel...
