Hi Folks,

I've purchased FT3 and put together an altitude map. I'm not sure if that is vector graphics map with recorded altitude data or if it is a rasterized image that includes colors and a key for altitudes. I'm wondering if it is is the second, because when I output a VRML file, all I get is a huge JPG (8192 pixels) and a 1 KB WRL file with no altitude coding in it at all. If that's the case, how do I add altitude data into the file so the altitudes show in Google Earth? My guess is that I unzip a KMZ version of the FT3 data, then add altitude data to the KML by hand, then zip it all up again. That sounds like it will be a lot of work. Alternatively, is there a way to link map colors (it's an altitude map, right?) to the altitudes that already show in the key on FT3? Am I missing something in the design of the FT3 map, or is there an additional step that needs to be made to take altitudes into Google Earth?

Thanks for any help you can provide,

Dakin
