    Default The Haunted Coast

This was a private commission done for a RPG group's campaign. It's a Lovecraftian fantasy campaign, where 1930s investigators travel back and forth between our world and this nameless world where the Haunted Coast is, in search of missing children that are being used in unholy rituals. The Haunted Coast has some beacons of hope, like the paladins of the Merantine Empire, but even they have their share of unholy corruption (also known as Too Much Lawful Good ).

    Credits:

Fonts - Cup and Talon, Roman Antique, Kaligraf Latin
Rune border font - Lovecraft's Diary
Nosebleed - brushes from a DeviantArt account that's no longer active; can't link to it.
Text in upper part of map - These are lyrics from a song called 'Far From Any Road' by the Handsome Family, which was the theme song for True Detective season 1. (An AWESOME show.) I thought the lyrics were creepy and appropriate for the topic. If you watched the show you'll know what I mean.

I dig it. The fonts work well with composition.

I agree, very atmospheric! As always, the overall presentation is very much to my liking and the landshapes rock (as always with D-maps). If i can, i'll Rep. you.

Man, what a great map. I absolutely agree with the others, you really grasped the appropriate creepy atmosphere. The "Far From Any Road" lyrics are perfect, the song always gives me goosebumps Wonderful job Diamond! ... Glad, i can rep you for it ...much deserved.

Thanks for the comments and rep, guys and gals. Appreciated as always.

Abu, yeah, they have some great music; I'd never heard of them before watching True Detective, and now I'm busily hunting down their stuff. Nothing so far is as haunting as 'Far From Any Road' though...

Very nice! I love how you did the inland part of the coastline, very neat. The global view is delightfully gruesome . Excellent font choices too!
