Hello from a self admitted maphead

I'm originally from Belgrade, Serbia and after having lived around Europe, Africa and the US settled in NYC. Since I've know about myself I liked maps - of any shape and form and enjoyed drawing maps (in hand) throughout my childhood. I still probably have some of those early works somewhere, though I haven't seen them in many years. I'm thinking of taking up some drawing for a few fantasy maps one of these days and would love to learn the tips and tricks of the trade, and pick up any advice you are willing to share. I'll read the discussion threads for any advice on using programs for map editing - I still feel most comfortable drawing by hand.

Nimrod88 Well you should have some first hand enviromental exposure to make some really cool maps, break out those pencils and post something up
