    Default Blackwind Crater Lake

Here is a map of the Blackwind Crater Lake. The surrounding lands are barren and dry, but around the lake the land is more fertile. Two villages surround the lake and a small mining community is higher up the mountain side.

Base heightmap done in GeoControl and all the rest with Photoshop.

I like the opacity of the water, the realistic look of the buildings and terrain, and the "scraped" look of the rocks. It calls to mind the results of heavy glacier action and the mountains near where I live.

Another really fantastic piece Pasis! We don't see you enough here but when we do, you always bring something amazing to the table.

I love all the little details. Is that some kind of ruined manor house or something directly north of the eastern village, on the north shore?

Thanks for all the nice words!!!
@arsheesh: true, I wish I could spent some more time here.
@Diamond: indeed that is an old manor in there but it's not abandoned...

A beautiful map Pasis! I really enjoy your style, between "aerial photography" and a good detailed painting.
