This is the Land of the Three Sisters and the Mother. A bit of an odd name, but I like to create stories and history for my maps and during the creation of the map I wrote an introduction to a story that takes place within the world, and during that this name popped up. For some reason it felt odd but interesting. I wanted the style of the map to feel like it could exist in the world it depicted so it's not colourful or overly fancy as the simpler the map, the cheaper to buy it, and that's always important for travelers. I'm slowly building a history and purpose to each place, but I also like to impart those aspects through names and positioning of points of interest. I find that if I know everything there is to know about the world I lose interest, so I crop down to the most important areas while leaving clues to other areas that can inspire stories for me and possibly anyone that views it. What do you think? Does the style make you feel like it could have existed in a fantasy world?
