    Hey chick,

The map is looking great! I think what you did with the legend was a really good improvement. I think the forests look pretty good too. I also like the city map. The buildings are good lookin'.

    My two comments are:
    1) Diamond is right about the blurriness. Particularly with the mountain/hills. Some smaller ones look fine (Cat Hills) while the larger ones (e.g. Icecatcher Peninsula) look blurry. Seems like you used the same shape and it got blurry after it was scaled up. How did you do that part? Maybe making a brush would help.

    2) Although I really like the Falls of Deverin map, the pespective looks strange on the left side where the water...'goes up'. Maybe extend the woods like below? I don't know, but it really sticks out to me when I look at it up close.

I redid the mountains. I don't like these shapes quite as well, but I was able to do higher resolution with them.

And Cuin, I added your ledge (and more water in the pool) to Southport, thanks for the idea

    Looks great ...

    but gee golly whillikers, Cornelia!

I just went over the whole map with a fine-toothed comb.

(One still could buy those in the borning years of fantasy RPGs.)

You're spoiling all of my fun. I couldn't find a single new nit to pick.

Cornelia, this is a bit of a random question, but...I went to high school in Farmington, Michigan. One of my classmates was Brian Yoder. Your name just reminded me of him, and I don't think I've encountered that last name since that time. Any relation?

No relation I know, but Yoder is a common Mennonite name in northern Indiana and Ohio, and I'm somehow distantly related to all of them I'm told. Sorry I don't know Brian.

Mark, thank you for such a nice compliment!

I'm the type of person who likes to work on the big picture, and I suck at details. I can see cartography is going to force me to look closer. My natural style is to lay out the whole thing, then figure you (the viewer) knows what the details are supposed to be.

As a result of everyone (rightfully) pushing me on details here, I can't stop tweaking this thing. I never liked the floor of the Mines of Thren, so I decided to tweak it tonight, and I added a couple of tools and some treasure.

    I hate mountains

Anyway, here is a different set of mountains. This is back to the original ones I used, but now I have found out how to make them overlappable. Still not sure which I prefer. Also some more tweaks to various things.

Somehow this (previous) map looks too colorful to me. Here is a version which I have highly saturated. I'm not putting it as WIP, just would like opinions on the look of it compared to the more colorful one. I've left the insets off, since they look ugly when saturated, and too colorful against this map when not.
