    Help Looking for scale cartouches

After searching through the threads here, I didn't find what I need - a cartouche for the scale of a map (in miles) in a fantasy style and free to be used on a map.
I have some adresses for compasses and map boards textures.
Terraformer in FT3 has some symbols too but none for the scale cartouche.

I know only of CC3 scale symbols but have not CC3 so can't use them.
Any advice, link or hint ?

    I made it in GIMP.

OK, thanks. That's the kind I am looking for.
Now where can I find some ? A fantasy style would of course ideal but I can do with anything that's not too modern.
Unless you meant that there are none and I have to create mine in GIMP.

I generally make my own, too. As long as you don't want something terribly complex they're not difficult to make. Just boxes and lines and some text. One of the problems with using pre-fab elements is that it is difficult to get elements from different sources to look correct together. They'll have different styles, different qualities of sharpness or blurriness, different line weights, different contrast qualities, and so on.

If you make your own, though, it's much easier to get them to coexist peacefully with all of your other elements.

That being said, you might check the Dundjinni user forums if they're currently accessible. There are lots of elements available there, and scale bars are probably among them.

The only ones I think I've seen on Dundjinni are these 2:

Dundjinni Mapping Software - Forums: A few scale bars and compass points

Thanks ! This will have to do unless I find something more fantasy style one day.
