Oh great' now I'll be wanting to tweek and fiddle until the cows come home, lol. I still have one more thing I'd like to do so I'm going to put the coloring question to bogie since its for his world, otherwise I'll drive myself crazy. I like them both, if I have to pick, maybe the muted one is slightly better. ( but you are right, different monitors can make a huge difference. )

Well, you don't have to pick because you can have both and any variation in between but I do have to put one up for the challenge
I guess I'll leave it as is since you mentioned to me earlier this is within the Forgotten Realms world. I pulled up map images from said realm and the coloration is pretty much along these lines so it should fit in with any other maps you might be using. Although obviously, it's not exactly the same style since Mike Shley (sort of the definitive version of Forgotten Realms) has his style. I'm quite happy with how this came out considering I was worried I might botch the whole thing. I think I will try some of what I learned doing this again going forward since there will be less experimenting next time.

On a side note to this I was asked if I would mind sharing the thorn illustration for use in another individual's game session.
I agreed and here it is for those who could use such a thing.
