October/November 2014 Challenge : Medea`s Rest

Depict a moon which is part of an interstellar empire. It is a staging ground for expeditions, hosts a large detachment of the imperial fleet and is a cultural and economic hub in an important border region where millions of sentients live. Over millennia parts of the moon have been hollowed out and giant structures stretch out into the void.
Wow, thats a chunk of a task for sure. I havent done any SciFi related lately. But I think health is better enough to try to get into the spin again. The structural implications on this one leaves enough space and blanks also suggest a lot of fine details.
I though a kind of flyer would look nice. One advertising the Moonstation for Spacetourism.
