    Wip September Entry: Trasgarian tears

    Hello to everybody.

I am glad to see that I can participate to this contest (I have no skill to render caves or house map by computer).

First thing, I am working with a mouse (very awful to draw), and I will work only with Gimp (exit my pencils).

For the first WIP, basically I have taken the picture, upscale it (2000x2000 pixels) and redisgn the border with my lovely old mouse. Then I have applied several borders to give an effect of relief.
Edit: I added a background colour, and I blurred the borders, just to have something less pixelised.

I am not working fast, I just want to finish it before the deadline.

    Steel General >> Thanks you.
delgondahntelius >> I am using The Gimp.
Jkaen >> It is very simple to make this background.
    1. Use a cloud effect (I don't know if there is an equivalent in photoshop), change the parameters to have something interesting.
    2. Colouring the cloud effect.
    3. Apply a canvas effect.
    4. Got it. Now I have to change something on it, but not now. I have to draw the swamp.

I love the offset lines to show coastline.
    Something witty and pithy
