    Ok, so I haven't been able to find my old topic on my conworld, so I just decided to post a new one.


    You guys remember all those months ago when I broke my laptop, and "had" to stop working on mapping things out? Well, not only did I figure out how I could continue to map things out, BUT, I went ahead and paid someone to finish the cartography for me.     Now that you guys have all of that, let me go ahead and give you some information about the planet, that was in the old thread, but should be in this one for reference.


    First of all, it is important to understand that Eurydice and its sister planet, Deianira, orbit a class F8 Star called Radagast. Here's the basic info on the star...

    Deianira may not be relevant to the story, but it is relevant to the planetary info because the two planets are tidally locked to one another, orbiting a common barycenter. This is the closest celestial body that Eurydice has to a moon, which means, at least by my friend's and my estimates, that the core of Eurydice is going to be as much as twice as hot as that of Earth due to increased gravitational pull from this very large planet that it is tidally locked to.


    Now at the moment, I'm trying to figure out the continental drift since the days of the last supercontinent, which, I THINK may have been around 150.9 million years ago. I came to that number by some very rough estimates, though. I know that in the paint.net image that is on my computer, which is too large to be shared via the site I was using above, the equatorial width of the planet if 4970 pixels, which can be divided by the circumference of the planet being 25006.34 miles, which gives us a distance value of 5.03 per pixel. Using a 2263.5 mile measurement bar that I created that parked every 50 pixels, I determined that Sirsa is roughly 4,500 miles away from Sáxtons (4,527 to be exact...), which, if I multiply that by the number of inches in a mile (63360) and then divide the answer by a value of 1.9 inches for a year, an increased rate of continental compared to Earth, but actually relatively slow for Eurydice, I get the 150.9 mya number for Sirsa and Sáxtons having been connected to one another.


    Now, what I'm having a real problem determining, is at what point in time Pacharang would have begun to collide with Júent. How would one go about determining that mathematically?

    It seems a little odd to resurrect this thread after so long not posting in it, but I am in need of a little bit of help as far as the biomes are concerned, as my commissioned artist bailed on me 2 years ago before his work was done. That being said, I remember him explaining that there was something about Eurydice's distance from her star, Radegast, as well as the atmospheric composition of the planet, that was causing there to be a belt of subtropical forest running along the equator in those areas that would receive enough precipitation for it. I don't remember what he said though, and our Skype conversations are long gone...
