    Default Primidia

    Hi Everyone,

I have just finished this map, commissioned for an upcoming novel to be published by Permuted Press in 2015. It's a Tolkien-like fantasy world with all the usual elves, dwarves, humans, halflings, orcs, giants, trolls, and eagles.

It started out as the map I showed earlier called Calisdania, but had to be revised to a different format when the author's publisher limited him to a single page format.

I'm very excited that this will be the first map of mine actually published on paper commercially. I hope you all like it. As people sometimes say, "feel free to .... " (whatever you like -- comment, critique, rate, rep, or ignore).

    Cheers,
    Cornelia

Well, congratulations on your first commercially published work... and it has turned out to be a very nice one.

Overall a very fine first commission work. Congrats and have some Rep.!

I think you could still work on a) the color of the water-bodies and rivers (i find the grey a bit dark especially with the ocean around being white...so the difference is especially glaring at the outflow of the rivers into the oceans) on your continent and b) the "flow" of your rivers. Most of them are very monotonous and straight.

Congrats, CY; here's wishing you a string of successful commissions! For some reason the rep star button is not showing up on your post so I can't give ya any, but it's there in spirit...

Very nice and congratulations on a finished commission, and you said you couldn't draw.

Really a very good map, and one that, I think, reveals how much you've improved.

I'll join THW in both of his points.
This a nice map and I have also seen your work, your improvement and more generally your good will to help many others to improve.

I think the ban may have had something to do with a pointed "Discussion" With Max over this months overlap of challenges. I don't know if that continued in private messages. Max was cool for his part but she was getting "HOT".
