Thread: Bronze Age Settlement Map

    Default Bronze Age Settlement Map

I haven't posted in a while, so I thought post something I've been working on. A Bronze Age settlement, such as you might have found in Britain. I've included a ringed hill fort with a trackway leading to a henge circle. The trackway crosses some marshland adjacent to a sacrifcing pool, where Bronze weapons and tools are tossed to the gods. I also included a barrow mound with entrance exposed. Instead of neolithic fitted stone, farm dividers, I opted for hedges (which may be growing on top of the stone walls). I included a flock of sheep on one partition to bring it to life.

I used Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 9, a vector drawing application to create everything, using photo image fills on beveled shapes.

    Enjoy!

Other than some shadow discrepancies and some too sharp transitions it looks pretty good. I really like the design , color scheme and textures.

Good map. But I think the light on some of the elevations is too strong.
