    Default Color and Label help

    Reworking my Phagrea continent map and I stumbled upon this look which I'm kinda liking a lot as it lends itself to easy printing for my game group. Not sure how crazy I am about the labels though I like the font. Thoughts?

    Couple of things that came to me when I looked at your map;

    1) Nice land shapes, although I'm not really digging those two clustered islands.
    2) I think improvements can be made with the labels, adding a slight white glow around the letters, drawing borders of the kingdoms (assuming they are kingdoms) and their position leaves a bit of room for adjustments. It might be better to place the text next to the area they name instead of right on top of it, I'm referring to the islands. I also read a document on proper map labeling just last night that I believe was distributed around here, I could send you that PDF document if you wish.

    You could make the font smaller and set the kerning much wider. Keep the color that dark steel blue, looks nice, and keep the opacity at 100% - smaller letters with a wider spacing helps you to see the land underneath.
