In the interests of just learning how to do a variety of things on a large fantasy regional/world map, I propose to make a map containing a large variety of terrains and elements. So I propose the following challenge:

Create a regional map which contains at least all of the following (more of any listed item is ok):

  1. Fifteen cities/towns/villages, connected by roads
  2. Two separate mountain ranges, at least one pass
  3. Three rivers with at least two tributaries each
  4. Three lakes
  5. Two major forests, one of which must clearly be evil
  6. Three wizard towers, one of them in ruins
  7. Bordered at some point by ocean with two islands
  8. A great deep chasm
  9. A region of badlands hills and unusual rock formations
  10. A great high cliff that runs for miles
  11. A large thorn thicket
  12. A defensive stone wall that runs for miles
  13. A waterfall
  14. A cave entrance
  15. A region of perpetual mist
  16. A swamp
  17. A volcano
  18. A desert
  19. Labels for all of the above
  20. A compass rose that you created
  21. A travel scale and legend
