The title border and the map border don't match to me.
    I'ts very clean.
The rivers seems a littke bit too wavy.
Some names have a glow and others not (it looks strange)
Oh my God, Where is France? Is it sank? (just joking)

    Nice

    Thank you!
I didn't want to use the same border for title and map.
And the outer glow is just visible before a dark background.

This is probably just a bit of 'artistic licence', but the location of the real Dumbarton in Scotland isn't quite where you've placed it. Dunadd and Scone are pretty much OK (I've never heard of Dolair, so can't comment on that), but Dumbarton's position screams 'wrong' to me. The town sits on the Firth of the River Clyde on the northern side, but it looks like it's in middle of the countryside on your map. However, I do understand that real-world authenticity isn't always the most important thing, so if the author's happy, then no problem!

The map is not really accurate, more an approximation of how an old cartographer may have drawn it - that's at least my interpretation of the writer's sketch I got.

I thought that might be the case, but you know how it is when you're personally familiar with something and it's not quite right! I do like what you've done (as usual!)

I have found that putting the glow on all the names, even those in front of light backgrounds, does work better. Although the glow may not be necessary and is mostly invisible on those, somehow it does make them all look the same, even if just the tiniest effect.

I can't comment on the accuracy of locations, but I do love that compass rose.
