I'm with Chashio - not really feeling those pennants. I'm at a loss as to how to make them better though. If you're not actually labeling the countries, then to make actual borders might just look odd.

edit: Actually, what about this: make borders; instead of naming each country on the map itself, create some kind of small ornate frame/circle/shape with a number 1 through whatever in it. Then have a key at the bottom or side.

So, dots border it is... And a test of your (good!) idea Diamond.

And... another batch of labels . Almost done for this occidental part.

I really like what you have done with the forests. They look simple yet fit perfectly with the map.

Thanks Barek! I corrected all the pine forests now, and added some more labels (I'm starting the eastern part now...).
I've also added the equator/tropics and polar circles.

What are the numbered things that look like ISO first aid boxes?

Ah nvm, I scrolled up and realized

I found something that bugs me, Ilanthar. The outer glow around the ocean names seems too much to me. If you back it off a little bit, to let the pattern show through more, is it still legible?

I would have to agree with Diamond on that one. Your ocean is pretty light-colored, and the design lines are pretty thin, so I wouldn't think any glow behind the text would be necessary[?] This is the first time I have seen this project, but I would have also commented about maybe widening/emboldening the rivers had I poked in when you were at that stage. They don't seem notable enough to me.

Nevertheless, this is a huge project and you're getting far more things right than you are wrong, so great work!

Yeah, I'm not convinced by those too... And did another try with a backup drawing. I think it's better .

@Diamond & Foremost : Thanks for the comment, It's very true. Due to the texture I added to "break" the pattern, it darkened the sea, then... Is it OK without it? Or should I do something in between?

@Foremost : Yep, rivers are quite done now... Though I did a test for the big river in Khasint. Better?
