Yes, seeing the tiny version against the brown of the CG forum background, it's not bright enough, but that can be adjusted.

Well, since at least one person liked it, I decided to try making it more visible against the brown of the CG skin.

Not sure this is an improvement, but it is more visible at very small size.

Yeah, at the full size, I like the first compass better, but at the small size this one is better. Great work Chick!

You really need more contrast between these two colors.

I'm glad you joined in Ariz.
I like it. And it reads well at both sizes.

I'm not sure what you mean here Azelor - are you talking about the graticule lines?
If you mean between the sea and land, I wouldn't agree.
I was actually going to suggest a bit more 'gold' to the sea, but the graticules could definitely be a a slight bit stronger, maybe a touch toward orange to show better.

But all in all, I still really like this entry Ariz.

Thanks to a fabulous suggestion by Azelor, I think I've been able to combine the prettiest aspects of the original with much better visibility at small size.

Hey everyone! After seeing the awesome pieces that everyone has submitted I thought that I should go ahead and post my idea. My concept is that as cartographers we have a lot of power, it might seem insignificant but I think it's amazing. We get to create worlds that become the image that people think of when they're exploring a new world, whether in a book or game or other. It's similar to being a writer but we convey our story through a picture. So in a way we hold the world in our hands.
