I looked it up on Google Maps, and agree it's absolutely beautiful! Looking forward to your next update.

This is still a very rough image.
I am drawing in DraftSight (a vector graphic CAD software), but my purpose would be to refine the map in QGIS or eventually GIPM.

I like contours, but they are probably too heavy. What's your opinion?

    Another update.
I like to experiment, so I improved the DTM, reversed the color ramp, added some vegetation and a 3D effect.
    I would call this a Pseudo-Satellite style.

That's looking very good imo. I'm only disturbed a bit by that deep blue sea , but I guess you're not done yet with that part.

Yes Ilanthar, in fact I found out an open data map showing batimetric contours and decided to colorize the sea according to that. Hope you like it now.
By the way, I should probably enlarge a bit the smaller toponyms, they're too tiny I'm afraid.
Also, I would like to add some more decorations and a proper map title.

As usual, any comments/suggestions are welcome!

I re-sized the toponyms, and tried mainly to decorate the map adding the coat of arms of Portovenere (drawn by myself) and some international maritime signal flags (found out on Wikipedia) that make up the words PORTO VENERE (in fact, this is the official name used by the municipality, but we use commonly the attached form).
I'm not sure if I'll add also an anchor and a wind rose, I wouldn't like to make a too tawdry map!

Yep, it matches perfectly the rest of the map now. Good work!
