This reminds me of one of those contraptions from the video game Skyrim. It looks an awful lot like one of the Dwemer gadgets they have hidden in their underground cities. Very cool!

I have a soft spot for anything with gears, clockwork, or orrery. Very nice.

I once 3d modeled an entire clockwork mechanism just as a visual aid for one of my gaming groups. They didn't really appreciate the amount of work I put into it though. You might be able to find it in my post history of you search it. This looks really cool though.

Have you played any of The Room series games? Room 3 has a cool orrery in it.
