I don't think I see what you mean. To me it looks good. Remember the edge isn't the coastline, the rivers still flow in other lands. Am I not seeing something or did you get that mixed up? The whole central river is one giant river system, it flows into my lands and then to the sea.

mmh.. I don't understand what you mean, ok maybe the fact of looping around mountains is a bit strange (blame the main map maker ) but it start southeast and end southwest, all at the same altitude..

Apologies yes you're right, it looked like those two bits of river were flowing south but they're not. Actually the clouds makes it clearer strangely, I like the effect.
