Nah, it's just coming home to Poscadia after a long voyage! It could have come from anywhere.

A good map (and a good boat ) so far.
I like how everything is neat and easily readable but rich of informations.
I also like your choice of colours.

    Thanks fabio and Arsheesh. :-)

I took the pre-painting photographs today, but it looks like it will be a couple more days before I have the final options ready in digital form. I've been distracted demoing board games at PAX!

I'm finished with the pen-and-paper stuff! I just have one question for everyone. I did the pencil coloring quite nicely this time before I took my water wash to it. So which looks better, the pencil version or the painted version? Whichever you like better, I will post up the full-size image and the transparent png version for the composite map.

I'm going to put them in two posts so I can tag the painted one for the thumbnail scraper.

    Here's the pencil version:

Great to see this coming together from the initial sketches to this wonderful piece in the end! The drawn elements like the compass rose and the ship add a lot to the whole map. The painted version looks smoother but the pencil one really has it's own charm. Keep up the great work!
