I was hoping to be able to have a computer up and running by now, having payed for a mac Ibook to replace my dead Imac. The I book is a 366mhz which is actually a touch better then the desktop was. It would be missing the keyboard, power cord and airport card which is fin I got a powercord cheap and I can hook up an expetrnal keyboard.

This unit would allow me to use all the programs I had before and hook my tablet and scanner.

But when it arrived it was short some ram, and the system loads a searching for manager error that then offers select a finder and another option both of which are password locked, and shutting down. So I tried to boot via CD to reset the system... only it refuses to even notic the cd drive when I boot holding down C.

The seller assures me that the ram and battery are on their way. Frankly that's the least of the problems. If I can't boot from CDs then it just amounts to a paperweight.

Or am I doing something wrong here?
