    Default Lite Mapping Challenge suggestion

    For the Mapping Lite:

I just finished an uncharted island for my husband, he wanted one for his 2nd ed D&D game.

That got me to thinking... Have you ever been to a beautiful island that seemed marred by what Man has done to it? Looked at the landscape and thought "This would be a beautiful view! If those stupid buildings weren't in the way!!!"

Well, what about an 'uncharted island', untouched by the hands of Man(kind)? Any setting, just so long as it's uninhabited.

The title makes me think of a rectangle of ocean, because, y'know... uncharted. But i get the idea - omniscient storyteller knows about it, the in-character people just don't. Yet.

Giving one an excuse to NOT have a bunch of features labeled does seem a good way to make the effort simpler. It would let us (make us?) work on conveying features without text. I can imagine new mappers who are intimidated by labeling too, so maybe it's an attractive effort for them?

It's actually not as easy as you might think. How do you make a map interesting and exciting, when there are no circulations to give it .meaning so to speak. And the island doesnt have to be uncharted, just untouched by people.

I know, but that's hard to do when you are posting from a cell phone. At least it is with mine. I have no internet at home, with the exception of my cell phone, and my cell phone's autocorrect is a moron! lol

ah yes.. the phones are not always easy to work on. I use tapatalk sometimes, but the way it structures the guild is very different that in a normal browser.
