    Post Thanks for welcoming me.

Greetings. I've loved fantasy maps since I first saw them at a young age in Tolkien and Lewis books. I am told many of my fantasy rpg hand-drawn maps "tell stories." I've drawn them while relaxing and listening to some good music.

Now, in the age of computers, I've tried my hand with fractal mapper and photoshop but would like to learn some good map design and development techniques.

I can't wait to read everyone's posts and learn a great deal. From what I can tell, this is an awesome guild.

    Thanks for welcoming me.

    Dear Pax!

There is nothing better than passion for fantasy mapping to make good fantasy maps. Look at the tutorials section which should give you some good guidance and also follow your instincts!

Lots of stuff here to learn along with for PS and FT but most of us still love the hand-drawn style. Ultimately it's all about learning and experimenting thus growing in skill and confidence. In the end, if it pleases you that's all it needs to do. Welcome to The Guild, glad to have you here.

Welcome to the Guild, PaxVeritas. I second the notion of checking out the tutorial section. There's a ton of great info waiting to be discovered.
    Cheers,
