    Apparently, Mathematica (~$2500) now supports interactive image processing.

    Some really cool stuff that probably has some use I can't image right now

    It's very powerful but it really is a dog of a program to use. There's definitely an art to getting it to do what you want. Thanks for pointing out the image processing though. I have it on my work computer and may well have a bit of a play with that.
