Post Happy Mapping to All !

    Hey Gang !

I just wanted to stop in and say Hi ! I've been a lurker for a while now but only recently decided to join in. This will come as a surprise to more than a few of my players who claim I get more excited about the maps of a game than the adventure itself.

Sadly this has been true more than on one occasion. Maps and cartography for my RPG's have been a passion of mine for many years. Todd Gamble, Pierre-Alexandre Xavier and "Lord" Peter Fenlon have been heroes of mine (along with many others!) for a number of years.

Yeah ... my heroes are cartographers. I need a life. Sue me.

Hopefully I'll be submitting something that doesn't suck before too long.

    Post Post anyway!

Post anyway - suck or not. Let us help make it look better, give you some direction and options to go. What software do you use, or do you work hand-drawn only. Scan it and let us see. Your mapping can only get better with practice and a little help.

Don't wait, do it as soon as you can, let us see.

What GP said. Don't be shy, many (including mine) looked like crap, but with practice and patience you can improve dramatically in a very short time. Several of us here just love to look at new maps because we never know from where inspiration may come.

Have fun and happy posting to you! As a newbie with no idea of even scale when I first stuck up my thread a couple days ago, I've been surprised and pleased with all the support from the group here. They'll help you out with anything.

    (No pressure, guys)!

    Welcome to the forum!

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

I'm really kind of stoked about this site and finding others who share the same passion. It turns out that I must have been a really good boy in 2008 as my wife gave me the ProFantasy World Builder set for Christmas. Up until now, I've done everything freehand so this will be my first real foray into using my computer to help with my cartography.

Well I may as well get mapping.

Cool wife! I'll have to look into getting me one of those things (wife) so she can buy me cool stuff too.
