    Post Howdy

Hi there! New to these forums, found it while looking for ways to create ships in Blender. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most appreciative.

    Welcome Aboard!

There may be a few folks here that use Blender (I am not one of them), if there are I'm sure they'll be along before to long and point you in the right direction.

In the mean time check out the SciFi/Modern mapping forum (if you haven't already), you may find something there.

Welcome to the Guild, sorry I have no answer to your question though.

I am a bit of a noob with blender but I posted my "first serious attempt at figuring it out" kind of tut/blog thing. When yuo say ships is that space ships or tall ships ? Also why not grab some premade 3D objects of stuff. Theres many space ships about. The person with the most Blender experience I know is su-liam but I think Torq has some experience with it as well - dont know how much. I can tell you a bit how to make stuff in 3D but not necessarily in blender. Or at least I might not tell you the best way to do it.

Blender keeps coming up as a great way to make maps and stuff for maps in theory but there's not actually that many people using it. I think that's down to its especially pedantic user interface.
