Post I'm Diggin' It, But What Do I Do With It?

I started playing around with this the other night, its based off of a map of the Battle of Alexandria - I just thought the land shape was really neat.

I like the way it's coming along, but I'm just not sure what to do with it at this point - do I make a regional map out of it, a city map, etc?

I'm open to suggestions - so let me have 'em.

    Def city map there imo.
Or my favourite. A big ass fort with cannons!
Or do something totally off the grid, a sci-fi colony with a space port!

The fort isn't a bad idea, I need 4 of them for my little piece of the CWBP. Hmmm... have to give that some serious thought.

OK, just playing around a bit with this today...

Added a scale at the bottom, an area of richer, deeper grass, and some towers in various spots just to see if I like them.

Still kind of undecided on what to do with it.

I like the idea of a fortified city state. Was my first though seeing this. Something like Morocco, the only fertile area at the edge of the desert sort of thing. And with a natural harbor like that it should have an awesome navy.

    Just bristling with cannon ofc.

Yeah, I'm definitely leaning towards a fortified city or a big fortress/military compound. Still not quite sure yet.

    Fortified city would be awesome.
