Post First map of the moon

Short little article with a couple of 400 year old pages. The pages have the first recorded maps of the moon. They were drawn by an Englishman a short time before Galileo.

The maps are not super detailed but the paper is nice ....

maps of that era amaze me...i was a history major in college so i've seen several....it's interesting that the maps are so accurate considering they had no 'above' vantage point from space or an airplane to aid them like we do today....
